Say Goodbye to Dental Anxiety With Sedation Dentistry

Reduce Stress and Dental Anxiety With Sedation Dentistry Solutions

We understand that many people are afraid of going to the dentist and tend to avoid making those dental appointments. If this sounds like you, talk to us about some of the latest options in sedation dentistry. We have helped many patients get through their treatments and procedures with little to no pain with the help of IV sedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide. We also perform a number of procedures under local anesthesia.

IV Sedation

Intravenous conscious sedation (IV sedation) is helpful for inducing a deeper state of relaxation than other forms of sedation dentistry. Patients who experience very high levels of dental anxiety and those who have difficulty getting numb find this to be a beneficial part of their treatment plan. Dr. Jaebum Lee can determine whether you are a good candidate for this form of sedation during your consultation.

Oral Sedation

Many patients enjoy stress-free dental visits with oral sedation. This involves taking anti-anxiety medication about an hour before your appointment. The medication helps you stay calm and relaxed throughout your treatment, and some patients even get drowsy. You will need someone to drive you to and from the practice on your treatment day when you are taking the medication.

Other Sedation Options

We also offer nitrous oxide, a popular form of sedation used in dentistry practices today, which can help patients relax and get comfortable in their chair very quickly. In many cases, Dr. Lee can numb the treatment area using local anesthesia. A quick injection around the treatment area is all it takes to numb the area for a few hours so we can perform procedures without causing discomfort.
